Alignment is different from balancing
Alignment concerns the angles of the wheels; balancing concerns how mass is distributed in a wheel-and-tyre assembly. Michelin explains the distinction in the linked guide below. Ask which checks are appropriate rather than treating the two as the same service.
Explain wear and handling concerns
Tell the team about uneven wear, when you notice a change, and any recent tyre or suspension work. A symptom can have more than one explanation. Confirm the assessment and any recommended work for your vehicle before proceeding.
